Where you been?
I have 5 children now, yeah 5. We have a baby boy who is now 7 months old. Our oldest, Miss Amira will be 9 years old in June - time flies huh? I'm still homeschooling and i'm still a SAHM (stay at home mom). We've moved probably at least 3 times within the past few years, including moving across state lines. So we've gone from Missouri (which i miss dearly), to Nevada (nothing like some desert heat), back to California (yeah, back in Cali). And who knows if we'll be moving in again. I kinda like moving around, not the packing and unpacking part but i'm so into the adventure of learning about new places, people and things. It's really fun. The girls get a kick out of it too.
Other than that, i guess i've been doing the same thing - raising babies *chuckle* I'm totally on Face Book as well as The Daughters of Destiny, as well as The Son of Divine Design LOL. So check out the side bar (to the left) and come holla at your girl on FB or check me out on Twitter.
Until next time, stay cool . . *smoochies* - Mama Aly

Products De Jour
So the title of this post, Products De Jour is something I've done quite a few time here. Basically is me giving a little info about products and other things that I use and really like. Since having a new baby (yeah forgot to mention while I've been gone I got pregnant and delivered baby #5 a boy!) there are things I used quit a bit of that I'd forgotten. What are those things, uhhhh GOOD baby wipes, diapers, breast cream for those who nurse . . yeah. LOL
My first item, are diapers *chuckle* We've used quit a few in our day and quit a few different ones. Our newest baby is quit big, even though he's not even 1 month old yet. He came to this world at 9lbs 9oz and is growing rapidly. Thus the usually little diapers don't fit him. And yeah going up a bigger size is good, it's not typically a "one size fits all." He WEIGHS more but it's not like he's "baby Huey size." So within our 3 week span we've gone thru about 3 different brands. Well hubby came home with the 4th brand and quess what? We have a winner!!! Nature Baby Care are perfect for our little one. Why? Well first they are natural, which agrees with our lifestyle. They are chlorine free, biodegradable, and allow his bottom to BREATHE in them. And they don't leave those horrible cut and red marks on his sensative little skin after wearing. Not to mention they pretty much soak up ERR'THING that comes out, if you know what I mean.
Next up are WIPES. And yeah, we've just about tried them all. It seems our tried and true friend are actually a store name brand. We ALWAYS buy the 365 Whole Foods wipes. Since we use so many, we don't want to go through a pack wipes in 2 days. So the fewer we can use at one time, the better. Well the 365 brand are very sturdy, they are oversized and XTRA juicy - meaning they are not going to hurt baby's bottom for being too dry. Plus, they are pretty light on the pocket book and travel well, the large pack and the small pack.
Now for the nursing mommy, this is a product I could not live without while breastfeeding. For those who nurse, you know what it's like to be the baby's food. You also know what it's like to have nipples so sore, dry, cracked and tender that it REALLY makes you thing HARD about just giving the baby a bottle with formula. I use the Lansinoh after each feeding has really helped me a lot. It's really thick and soft and spreads on easily. I SLATHER it on after each feeding to keep my nipples from being tender and to help keep them soft. I don't have to wipe it off to nurse the baby either. I really don't know if I could have continued if I didn't have SOMETHING to help me deal with the pain in my nipples. I know TMI, I'm just saying *chuckle*
Duty calls, Amare is up *smoochies*
